Frequently Ask Questions

Empire Porta delivers to jobsites, event venues, and project locations across New York. Coverage varies by unit type and delivery date, a standard unit is easier to route to a remote address than a VIP restroom trailer. If you’re not sure whether we deliver to your location, call with the address and we’ll confirm before quoting.

Deliveries into NYC and the boroughs need more planning than suburban or upstate jobs, street access, placement restrictions, and building or site rules all factor in. Tell us where the unit is going and when you need it, and we’ll work out access and service timing before locking in the quote.

Lead time depends on your location, the unit type, and how full the schedule is that week. Standard units in our regular delivery areas are often available within a few days; restroom trailers and larger multi-unit setups usually need more notice, especially on peak weekends in spring and summer. Call with your dates and we’ll tell you what’s open.

Placement on private property, a backyard, a private jobsite, a wedding venue, generally doesn’t require a permit. Placement on a sidewalk, street, or public right-of-way in New York City and most municipalities does require a permit, and pulling it is the customer’s responsibility. We’ll advise on placement, but we don’t handle permit applications.

Usually, yes, including rural addresses, event venues off the main road, and jobsites without paved access. What we need upfront is the ground surface at the placement spot, whether our service truck can reach it, and any width, height, or weight restrictions on the approach. Send photos or describe the access when you request the quote so we can flag issues before delivery day.

Standard units are winterized when temperatures drop, using anti-freeze in the tank and cold-weather servicing adjustments. Flushable units and restroom trailers with running water need more planning, including access to power for heaters in some cases, and aren’t always the right pick for outdoor winter events. We’ll walk through cold-weather setup when you book.
